LOVE YOU TO THE
MOON
MOON
Photographer. Filmmaker. Friend.
Hi I’m Lilia.
I am a destination wedding photographer and videographer fueled by the world around me. My friends call me Lil. And since you’re here, we just became one step closer to becoming friends – so you can call me Lil too. I now call Charleston, SC my home, but if you know me, I’ve always had trouble staying in one place. So I like to call the road my home. Traveling is what keeps me alive. Want to elope in Italy? Let me come to you.
I love light. The way it dictates the whole mood of an image or a video inspires me. I was born to document and create. It’s my passion. It’s my calling. It gives me energy. And connecting with people makes this “job” even better. Being able to learn about what drives you or how you met the love of your life or why you prefer jam instead of butter on your toast keeps me going. It’s always been you.
A few quick things I love: the earth, the moon, the sky, the sun on my skin, my family and friends, traveling, yoga, moving my body, and last but not least, good food.
If you’ve been here before and invested in me in any way, I love you and I cannot thank you enough. And to those of you who will in the future, I promise you won’t regret it. So let’s effin’ do this. I can’t wait to meet you.
xoxo Lil
It’s always been you.
For the past couple years, I’ve always tried to figure out “my why,” my purpose. Why do I love documenting people? I couldn’t articulate it. So I thought a little harder. And in an effort of trying to find it, I lost it and I felt as if I was just going through the motions —clicking a shutter and creating a picture, not a narrative. Why do I do this? Because I’m good at it? Because it’s my calling? I wanted to dig deeper. I searched and searched until finally at 2 o’clock in the morning it hit me. You are “my why.” The connection I am able to make with you through a photographic medium is the reason I do what I do. It’s always been you. It’s the human connection. When I learn about what inspires you, it inspires me. It pushes me. With out you, I would have no purpose as an artist. I document you in order to make you feel — to help you remember. When I find out your story, I discover mine. We bring out the deepest of emotions in one another. You are why I’m here — it’s always been you.
